I want to thank LoisAnn Armstrong for sharing this picture of some of her Christmas decorations. You'll notice that she has a traditional nativity set with the stable in the center  and that her other pieces are in secondary places. 

LoisAnn's message is to put Jesus in the center of our celebrations or, as some might say, "Remember the Reason for the season." It's a message that's all too often overshadowed by the commercialism of the season. Let's not forget!

Although many nativity sets do not include the three wise men, they're an important part of the Christmas story, which is why Kathy Flinchum created this exquisite cross stitch piece. 

"They saw the star and rejoiced with exceeding great joy." Let's do that too.

When I featured nativity sets last December, so many of you enjoyed them that I'm hoping to make it an annual event.

This one, which belongs to one of my sisters, appealed to me because of its simple elegance and the contrast of the stars against the figures.
